VCCA Associate Membership Program

The Virginia Court Clerks’ Association (“VCCA”) is pleased to offer membership to our business associates, patrons and citizens.  As constitutional officers, the elected circuit court clerks provide valuable services to the citizens of the Commonwealth of Virginia.  The associate membership program provides the opportunity for associate members to help promote the awareness of our services, promote legislative initiatives to improve those services and promote technology improvements that will enhance the delivery of services.

Membership Levels and Benefits our Associate Members Receive:

George Washington Member - $7,500 per year

1)      Complete Sponsorship at the VCCA Convention

2)      One complimentary registration at the VCCA Convention

3)      Advertising Opportunity on the VCCA Website (George Washington members have the first choice for display of your ad on the webpage you designate.)

4)      The complete Circuit Court Clerks Directory with direct contact information to maintain communication with all clerks

5)      Regular Legislative updates from the VCCA legislative committee and the VCCA’s legislative counsel during the General Assembly session on critical legislation

6)      Periodic Progress Reports and Informational Notices on issues affecting the operation of the Clerks’ Offices in Virginia

7)      Opportunity to participate on three (3) VCCA Committees (*)

8)      Ability to request VCCA leadership to forward promotional information to all clerks once per month

Thomas Jefferson Member - $5,000 per year

1)      Advertising opportunity on the VCCA Website  (Thomas Jefferson members have second choice for display of ad on the web pages remaining after George Washington member choose web pages.)

2)      The complete Circuit Court Clerks Directory with direct contact information

3)      Regular Legislative updates during the General Assembly session on critical legislation

4)      Periodic Progress Reports and Informational Notices on issues affecting the operation of the Clerks’ Offices in Virginia

5)      Opportunity to participate on two (2) VCCA Committees(*)

6)      Ability to request VCCA leadership to forward promotional information to all clerks once every two months

James Madison Member - $2,500 per year

1)       Advertising opportunity on the VCCA Website on remaining web pages

2)      The complete Circuit Court Clerks Directory with direct contact information

3)      Periodic Progress Reports and Informational Notices on issues affecting the operation of the Clerks’ Offices in Virginia

4)      Opportunity to participate on one (1) VCCA Committee(*)

James Monroe Member - $1,000 per year

1)      The Circuit Court Clerks Directory with direct contact information

2)      Periodic Legislative updates during the General Assembly session

3)      Periodic Progress Reports and Informational Notices on issues affecting the operation of the Clerks’ Offices in Virginia

George Mason Member - $750 per year

1)      The Circuit Court Clerks Directory with direct contact information

2)      Periodic Progress Reports and Informational Notices on issues affecting the operation of the Clerks’ Offices in Virginia

Patrick Henry Member - $500 per year

1)       The Circuit Court Clerks Directory with direct contact information

2)        Annual report provided that summarizes legislative and technology initiatives of the VCCA

Description of Benefits:

Sponsorship at the VCCA Convention

The Virginia Court Clerks’ Association has an annual convention each year and offers sponsorship opportunities at the convention.  Sponsors are permitted to set up booths to advertise and display their services and/or products.   Additionally, sponsors have an opportunity to network and socialize with the 120 elected circuit court clerks in Virginia and their respective deputy clerks attending the convention.  Sponsors receive additional benefits at the convention such as display in the convention programs and announcement of sponsorships at the various meetings.

Advertising in the VCCA Website

The Virginia Court Clerks’ Association has a website with helpful information for the elected Clerks and the citizens of the Commonwealth.  Clerks of Circuit Court frequently check the website for announcements of meetings and information. Associate members will be featured on the website and your ad will be added to the website located at www.vaclerks.org.

Circuit Court Clerks Directory

Associate members will receive a copy of the Circuit Court Clerks Directory which contains the direct contact information for all 120 elected circuit court clerks in Virginia.   This directory has traditionally been available only to the Clerks but with an associate membership in the VCCA, associate members will have access to this directory.

Legislative updates during the General Assembly session on critical legislation

Associate members will be included on an email distribution list and will receive frequent legislative updates from the VCCA on issues that will impact the Clerks’ Office, the Courts and other significant legislation that governs the operations of circuit court clerks’ offices.

Periodic Progress Reports and Informational Notices

Associate members will receive periodic reports and special notices from the VCCA on issues affecting the operation of the Clerks’ Offices in Virginia.    Some of these reports include updates on the Technology Trust Fund, E-filing in Virginia and other technology issues.  Associate members will be the first to learn of important information affecting the Clerks of Circuit Court and the courts system in Virginia.

Opportunity to participate on Virginia Court Clerks’ Association Committees

There are numerous standing committees of the Virginia Court Clerks’ Association and traditionally only the elected circuit court clerks have been appointed to these committees.  Associate members will be permitted to attend the meetings of some of these committees to keep informed of the affairs of the Virginia Court Clerks’ Association.   Associate members can choose from the list of the committees listed below and decide which committee they would like to join.  Once the selection of committees has been made, the committee chair(s) will contact the associate members to notify them of meetings of the committee(s).  Associate members may attend, participate in discussions and offer suggestions at the committee meetings, but associate members do not have voting privileges within the committees.  Associate members will have direct access to the Clerks serving on these committee and direct involvement with the affairs of the VCCA.

(*) Associate members can attend the meetings of the committees and participate in discussions.  Associate members do not have voting privileges within the committees.
